9th Textech Sri Lanka International Expo-2018
“TEXTECH” is a well-established and a leading exhibition in Asia, being the prime showcase for the Apparel Industry in the region with participants from all over the world. This annual event provides the opportunity for Industrial sewing machines, equipment and new technology suppliers to meet with their potential customers in the region. Colombo in Sri Lanka and Dhaka in Bangladesh are two key locations for this event. In 2018, Textech Sri Lanka International Expo was held during 8,9,10, March 2018 and it provided the biggest B2B networking platform to the players who are in Textile & Apparel industry.
We, Dayaratne Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, as one of the leading providers of Sewing Machines, Spare Parts & Accessories to the Sri Lankan Apparel Industry, got the opportunity to be an exhibitor in 9th Textech Sri Lanka International Expo-2018. This was a great success for us as well for our suppliers and customers as the event coincided with our own 50th anniversary celebrations held in Shangri La Hotel on 9th March 2018
Prior to the exhibition, we were appointed as the sole agent for TYPICAL and KINGTEX brands of industrial sewing machines. Hence a prominent place was given to these two brands along with our full range of spare parts and accessories for the apparel sector. Supporting our efforts, there was a strong contingency from Taiwan & China, led by Mr. James Chiu represent on behalf of Kingtex brand for Ching Chi Machine Co, Ltd., Mr. Jinshan Chen (Micheal)- Director/General Manager, Mr. Zhai Jianrong- Deputy General Manager, Mr. Huang Rui- Assistant General Manager and Ms. Laura-Sales Manager for Typical International Corporation. TYPICAL Corporation, a producer of industrial sewing machines for over 75 years had a full range of machines on display and many interested visitors were given a full demonstration of the machines’ operations.
Among the many distinguished visitors were Mr. Daya Gamage & Mrs. Anoma Gamage, CEOs of Daya Group of companies, Mr. Rohan Samarakkodi the Chairman of the Rowanthi Garment (Pvt) Ltd.
Textech 2018 provided solid platform to start marketing of TYPICAL and KINGTEX brands and provided brand awareness in Sri Lanka as there were many interested parties among our visitors. TYPICAL machines also marketed under Vetron brand in Germany is a very reliable range of machines which represents good value for money.
On the other hand, KINGTEX is a high-quality brand manufactured in Taiwan since 1963 and now we can make it available in Sri Lanka for our customers.
For both type of machines, we provide the local warranty and supported by our own highly trained technical staff. Naturally, as the sole distributer we maintain a local stock of both brands and necessary spare parts to satisfy customer demand at a very short lead time.
Textech Sri Lanka International Expo-2018 was a very successful event that we participated and enabled to market our products with a different perspective.
